Druzy

Druzy occurs in nature when water containing silica particles forces its way into a fissure or porous are of rock and flap idly cools there; tiny quartz crystals form the particles inside or on the surface of the stone. The crystals often form on top of previously deposited minerals, which gives the particles their color. The crystals create a glimmering effect as they reflect light from their many facets. refers to the shimmering effect caused by the creation of tiny crystals over a particular stone. It can occur on many different stones which is why it can occur in many different colors. The value of druzy can depend upon the mineral it grows upon, which is often made distinct through its coloring.
