L E V A N T E

L E V A N T E was designed for a couple whose relationship is rooted in adventure, movement, and a deep appreciation for the natural world. Featuring an east-west marquise diamond set within a flowing yellow gold bypass setting, the design was created to feel organic, effortless, and full of motion — almost as though the ring itself is moving around the stone.

I named the ring Levante, a name associated with the east, the rising sun, and the warm winds that move across the Mediterranean. The east-west orientation of the marquise diamond mirrors the horizon line — something endless and ever-present, where the sun rises and sets each day. To me, it reflects the idea of a love that feels infinite, steady, and grounding no matter where life takes you.

The flowing bypass setting was inspired by nature itself — rolling hills, ocean waves, winding trails, and the imperfect beauty of landscapes shaped over time. Designed for a couple who loves to hike, bike, ski, travel, and explore together, the waviness of the ring represents the unpredictable and sometimes challenging parts of both nature and love. Neither is perfectly linear, yet both become more beautiful through patience, resilience, and growth.

I also loved the symbolism of the bypass design itself. Just as the flowing gold wraps around and supports the marquise diamond, the ring reflects the way strong relationships are built through continuously holding, supporting, and steadying one another through every season of life.
